People say that Sasuke would be a better hokage than Naruto because he is rational and a realist. This is false however.
Now I will admit that Naruto is not exactly the most rational, but Sasuke is pretty irrational as well.
The only instance of showing more rationality than Naruto that Sasuke has had, was during the last chapter when he gave Naruto that speech about how they can't sacrifice their lives for Kakashi and Sakura.
Let us review Sasuke's recent dialogue and behavior:
Many people say that trash talking Kakashi and Sakura was just being realistic and telling the truth. However, it was really more of a waste of time than anything. Sasuke bashed Sakura and Kakashi for simply asking what was going on outside. He had planned to tell Naruto anyway. Instead of simply answering Sakura aloud, which would have allowed the whole group to hear the answer, he decided to bash. Therefore this was just a waste of time, since he just ended up telling everyone by telling Naruto anyway.
True realists value efficiency. How efficient was it to waste the time to bash people when he would just end up letting the whole group hear anyway? Furthermore, a realist would realize that Kakashi and Sakura (although useless in physical battle) would still be capable of analyzing the opponent. Can you honestly say that this fact is false?
Also, if he really wanted to keep Sakura and Kakashi out of the way, then he should have pushed them out of the susanoo. That would have kept them safer and out of the way. It would not let light in because you can actually go out of susanoo without making a hole, as shown by the time Gaara pulled Madara out of his susanoo.
Then there was the time he got stabbed by Madara. He just jumped in recklessly (without even putting up a susanoo ribcage or anything). Do you call that rational? A 5 year old would know to simply attack someone that was just falling at them from the air. They may not have limbo, but they would still know to swing a bat or something.
Some time before this, he tried to attack Madara using mere kenjutsu after seeing that amaterasu had no effect. Kenjutsu? Really? Is this what you call rational?
Now lets talk about his ideology. Yes Naruto's is too idealistic, but Sasuke doesn't exactly seem to have a method for peace either. He just says that he wants to change the system. That is way too vague to call his ideals realistic, yet people seem to think that he is so rational.
Madara and Obito actually had a plan (and it was a great one except for the white zetsu thing which they probably didn't know about). Nagato had an actual plan. Naruto and Sasuke only have words.
The fact that Sasuke even assumes that he will be let back into Konoha shows that he is not that realistic, let alone become hokage. He is still an international criminal. He also does not seem to get that the village people play a role in choosing the hokage. Therefore, people have to like him (and nobody does)! Is this rational?
Conclusion: Being rude is not the same as being rational.
