it has a climb in the beginning but man oh man does it have amazing serious arcs

the comedy arcs are there to add to the lore and the seriousness of the other arcs

As far as I know, it all depends on what someone would prefer and likes more. You can't just say that a certain series is better than the other because you think so. There's something called an "Opinion" and for the last time, what you state/speculate/like/etc... cannot be considered a "fact" for everybody. Just be realistic.
