First we see Kisame and Itachi talking about the Nine-tails host. Kisame says Itachi stands a chance but he doesn't know well he will do since he is weaker.

Itachi says it'd be a pretty even fight even fight and more people might not make much of a difference against the Biju user.

And then Kisame talks about his "babysister", aka Jiraiya, and hypes the Sannin title. And then Itachi closes saying that everyone has a weakness.


Can people not read properly? How do you go from a scan like this to Jiraiya > Itachi + Kisame..?

im not to sure you get the point..... itachi was protecting naruto from the biggining, so he said to kisame that he was super strong

Replacing the Nine-tails host with Jiraiya makes absolutely no sense. Unless you think Jiraiya is his own baby-sitter.

Are people really this stupid?

The thing is Kisame & Itachi's were assigned to the Kyuubi Jinchuriki. So saying " Finding HIM" = Naruto, but " HIM " in the rest of the page could still refer to Jiraiya. Because Kisame referred to him as Legendary Sanin dragging their names through the mud, but Itachi defeated Orochimaru. So Kisame doesn't know obviously that Itachi actually fought/defeated Orochimaru already.
So this keeps the possibility that they were referring to Jiraiya as their opponent the whole time.

Simply put, the "weakness" Itachi speaks of is Jiriaya's perverted Narture, which Itachi takes advantage of by hypnotizing a woman and using her to separate Jiriaya from Naruto. Itachi didn't even BOTHER trying to confront Jiraiya despite having Kisame with him and instead resorted to avoiding him
