Ive heard people talk about how obito did it all because of rin and that he was friendzoned, also saying that naruto or sasuke wouldn't do the same. But think about it, if obito had saw rin die but hadnt met madara he wouldn't want to take over the world, because he would effectively have no idea how to. If naruto or sasuke were put in the same position and were the stuck with madara and the zetsus they would do the same thing as obito and refuse at first, but i believe that madara was somehow linked and planned rins death, so i think that madara would have manipulated them and cause a traumatic event to get them on their side
