Madara is lucky to get everything he wanted. If Madara wasn't an Uchiha Gai would babyshake him and dump him to sewer. It was a huge mistake for the final villain of a manga to underestimate somebody like this

Madara is lucky that Kishi finished Gai off quichly. One more panel with Gai and Madara would lose everybody's respect. 8th Gate is no joke. Madara was certainly overrated until Gai came along
