Pein & Team Gai

Why exactly did people say team Gai being away from the the leaf during pein's invasion was plot?

Like making it seem like Team Gai could of defeated pein.

All they had was taijutsu specialty against the nin absorbtion.

kakashi gai team work would give some trouble, because Gai by himself isn't taking out pain with 7th gates alone. He has Asura path to fight taijutsu users.

Oh yeah forgot about 8 gates. If it thrashed on a a juubi jin it can smash on the 6 peins.

I actually liked how the village was functioning and caught unawares, of course not everybody would be in the village when their jobs are often international.

It's actually moreso plot that Team Guy returned during that exact afternoon tbh.

if gai was in village, he would have lost too just like kakashi since plot demanded it. Then we wouldn't have considered gates to be as op as they are now

Had gai been there especially during pein's ST cooldown then konoha would've had the advantage.
-it's the same reason why jiraiya couldn't intercept in time to prevent orochimaru's full evasion.

Wouldn't matter because by then konoha would've been properly prepared to counter and naruto likely more exp in SM
- then again, it's a chance that taka and tobi might join pein by this around.
