Pein coloured

1st of it took me 30 min to colour this but i wanted to add a animated rain effect to blend with the image but that failed i couldnt remember,

Well here are 2 Version i couldnt decide which is better and dont tell me the shades suck because i dont color anime style anymore

shading is awful! my eyes are bleeding just looking at it X.X

the first one it completly messed up, and dosn't look realistic at all. the second one looks like crap. the shading is horrible.

if u want some coloring tuts, i provide a few. trust me, you NEED to get better. your colorings hava always been ugleh, and aren't getting better these days.

That means i dont colour in the same way as the anime characters like straight shades,

shading is awful! my eyes are bleeding just looking at it X.X

Well you can say that without flaming, i think i am improving just look at my old colourings at my Devianart page, and compare but i only colour when i am bored and i never looked at tuts


And i still have the PSD file maybe i would fix the shades if thats ruining the image does it, well only the skin shades are bad right ??

okay, when you shade something, you should never blur. you have to smudge. and the gradients and all that crap ruin the image.

I have a question are you going for a painted look or an anime look? Its ok but yeah shading is a bit messy keep it up though with practice you will get better making it look like a painting is harder then cell shading. Can I suggest tracing it with the pen tool so you have a nice clean line art and then color it. Good work keep it up you will get better with time. If you dont know how to make a new node not bend press alt over the current node and the curve node for that direction will disappear and you can start a new bend with the pen tool.

Yea i am using a painted look, i got tired of anime style since i dont want to colour in the same way as the others and

If your doing a dark to light use a gradient black to alpha and start from the bottom up and reduce opacity down so it looks darker and the black parts seems like a darker color then smudge lightly to give it a paint feel using a soft round brush.

lol no more blurs mate smudge and use burn/dodge tools to brighten and darken as you go. No one seems to fully use photoshop anymore they only do this and that and thats it. No worries I can help ya if ya want.See
