pc brightness prob

compaq presario cq61. win 7 h.p.-- my power plan options had a brightness adjustment slider. today its missing no brightness slider anywhere now and plan settings regardless of what i set them to, have no effect on the screen brightness. just yesterday all was working...?

it was there yesterday...today the slider is gone...

any ideas?

Happened to me a few times, only thing I found to fix it was a restart.

oh wait rolled back the driver and its back. must be one of microsoft's infamous updates caused it...auto-update now "turned off"!! so it wont happen again...thanx fer the help tho
