Yes barrier can be created at will around the body as shown by Nagato, but it doesn't mean someone is using different jutsu if he raises hand to create same barrier.

Exactly my point. Madara didn't try to absorb anything. Not even the kyubi cloak on Lee's kick but Nagato was able to absorb the version 2 kyubi cloak from bee's lariat. Same edo tensei bodies too.

Useless argument. Preta corpse raised its hand because it is not the original user. Show me one scan of nagato raising his hand. It automatically appears before him at will. Or did you just skip that part? And nagato’s gaikdo is different in everyway compared to Madara, Obito, and Sasuke. He didn’t use his hands when absorbing bee and he didn’t have flames emitting from his body either.

Databook isnt talking about heretic path, its about the other six paths. Thats why its called six paths of pain. Nagato is the seventh pain. Seventh pains can use all of the six paths technique including base rinnegan techniques like CT. He did need to so he can keep his connection to the jyubi, so it wouldn’t make sense for him not absorb.
Madara absorbed the rasenshuriken because Kabuto was controlling him, hence why he said “too much energy.” He was making Madara use too much power on Gaara, Oonoki, and Naruto. The only time Kabuto lost control of Madara is when he kai released edo tensei.

Except that he didn't use full Susanoo there, it's not even confirmed if that's Susanoo's shroud, in anime it's just ordinary chakra. You still didn't prove what else Madara used there if not Preta. I said that Madara was talking to Kabuto not naruto. Kabuto was making him expend too much energy jumping from sharingan, to eternal mangekyo, to rinnegan in a short span to show off his powers.
