I'll give it to the jounin. Temari can one shot Shikamaru. During the exams she only had her basic wind scythe. Her new more powerful variants will cut Shikamaru to pieces. If he tries to hide like last time the tree will be cut rather easily. Shikamaru won last time by tricking her into standing next to a hole. She won't fall for the same trick twice although Shikamaru would still possible be able to make another trap. He just won't get the time if Temari is blood lusted though.

Well Hidan is a completely different case because he is an idiot. Temari is much much smarter than Hidan.

Also, Temari's fuuton scythe attacks are almost impossible to dodge unlike Hidan's scythe.

Don't bring their earlier encounter in the chunin exams because at that time, all Temari could do was her basic weak kamaitachi wind scythe no justu. Now she has four other wind attacks with much more range and stronger cutting power.

Also when Shikamaru was rescued by Temari, it proved that Temari became stronger than Shikamaru during the two month gap between the chunin exam finals and the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. This is because Shikamaru could not defeat Tayuya unlike Temari who defeated her with ease.

shikamaru already failed to defeat her when temari was alot weaker. and yeah temari owned tayuya easily whereas shikamaru struggled. and temaris not a fool like hidan. she figured out shikamarus range in seconds
