Part 1 or Shipuuden

I think I prefer Part 1 mainly due to Team 7 and the Chuunin Exams.

I like shippuden more even though I started watching late and I had to do Naruto research to get back on track then I started reading the manga

Part 1 had that captivating introduction to the world of Naruto, most of the introduced characters were genuinely developed and the plot was interesting, there were still all these mysteries (e.g. the nature/origin of the 9 tails, akatsuki etc) etc, in short it was fantastical and the story had incredible potential. In part 2, it simply started to lose all of this, already established characters were ignored while newly introduced characters were half-assed wrt development generally killed off in the same arc as they were properly developed, the main characters Naruto and Sasuke gained no new dimension to their character (Sakura never had one to begin with); the new themes contradict the old ones (the child of prophecy bs vs the there is no destiny), asspulls everywhere and in general, it started getting repetitive.

This manga went to downhill in part 2 imo (only the pain arc and possibly this 1 were the only decent arcs of part 2), only reason Im keeeping up with it is to finish it after having kept up with it since childhood.

shippuden (kishi should admit) that it was good but should have definitely been better.

Sasuke is so awesome. I just thought that so I typed it

I like Part One because of the character development in the story. Everything about Naruto felt real and you could relate to certain characters in it and you found yourself cheering them on. But in Shippuden the plot really advances and the action is great which causes you to sit on the edge of your seat in suspense.
But I have to go with Part One because of nostalgia.

I have to say I enjoyed part 1 a lot though it was pretty awesome and the plot was great. I like shipuuden too, I don't know about other people but the plot is getting pretty much out of place
