Part 1 or Shippuden

Say one exists and the other does not.

You can only watch/read one.

Although some explaining would have to be done if you wanted to only choose Shippuden and there would be a loose ending if you pick Part 1.

shippuden because the ninja look more awesome all grown up...and so wat if dont see some major characters from part 1...we've seen sooooo many fillers/flashbacks that we can already gather what happened

I like Part 1 more, but as a standalone manga I'd rather read Part 2, since it's still going on, and Part 1 by itself wouldn't really have an ending. Plus Part 2 has all the old characters along with plenty of new ones.

Part 1 was better written because it had better character development and the fights were more balanced. Part 2 has a more epic plot but there is a lot of talk no jutsu and trolling in Shippuden. Also a particular main character has been forgotten and the fights are much crappier than they were before, especially in the War Arc.

The series still has potential although a lot of it has been wasted/forgotten/no longer relevant.
