Part 1 Chuunin Exams

Hi Everyone!

Just wondering, who do you think would be able to go toe-to-toe against Gaara (If not better him) during the Chuunin exams?

Was Lee the only one capable of matching up against this demonic killing machine?

Was there anyone else from K11 or rival village students that would have put up a better fight or even defeat him?

Please let me know your thoughts

Sauce, Neji and Naruto. No other Genin could take him, shoulda asked what kids his age could take him. Like Itachi, Kakashi, Madara etc.

During the secound round only neji could have stood a chance.

During the 3rd round sasuke, neji and naruto (who defeated him) could have stood a chance.

Neji would have put up a good fight but would have ended up losing. Naruto was the only Genin that could match him..And he did. No other Genin..Not from Konoha or any other village stood a chance.

But Lee was only able to hit Gaara by using his Sheer speed. Something none of the other Genins had? Naruto only defeated him because they were in an uncontrolled environment, and Gaara was going in and out on consciousness.

I don't see what Neji could have done in order to stay in the fight? He cant palm rotate every time the sand attacked him.

Sasuke defeated base Gaara with mid diff. He was a much better Lee at that time.

Neji wouldn't be able to because his movement speed is too bad compared to Sasuke/Lee. His striking speed is very good, but he wouldn't be able to get close.

Naruto would get destroyed by base Gaara because Narutos striking and movement speed wasn't very good at the exams. He may have won with the help of Kurama against Shukaku Gaara, but the fights in Naruto aren't always A>B>C. Person A may have a better chance against person C while Person B loses to C and wins against A. Base Naruto would lose against base Gaara, he may be able to match him with Kuramas aid, but I doubt so because we've seen, that a slower Lee is faster than Kurama Naruto in part 1.

Everyone else would get beaten with low diff.

Well, Lee was crushing Gaara like crazy with these gates opened, so why would Neji defeat him? I still don't get why everyone was like Neji>Lee.

Well Gaara wasn't fully fighting Lee and Sasuke as he was against Naruto. With Lee he was inside so he couldn't do really fight as he did with Kimimaru and he didn't even have to transform into mini Shukaku. Sasuke did hurt base Gaara and partial transformed Shukaku but he was out of chakra by the time Gaara went full mini Shukaku mode. Neji wouldn't be able to use his gentle fist on Gaara due to his defense and that's in base.
