How do you feel about parents that live through their kids?
Do you think it's selfish and stressful to the kid(s)? Why or why not?
What do you suggest these parents do?
(Optional) Did your parents try to live through you?

Idk I think it's just sad that your only source of happiness is through the progression of others

That's just sad IMO. They should go for their own dreams if it is that serious.

mmm, i dont think anything is wrong with it. unless the dream theyre pushing on the kid is something the kid doesnt want to do. but good parents live and work so their kids will be better than them and have a better life, most of their actions are for the betterment of their children

im not a parent but theres a strong sense of that persons offspring being an extension of them. their child winning is like them winning in a lot of aspects in life. i have no problem with a parent basking in their childs glory. most would over any huge accomplishment their child achieves regardless

only wrong when it's forceful and not their passion. The right way to live through them is supporting them following their dreams or success.
