Disown your eldest daughter because she doesn't learn as quickly as some people, ignore her and not try to give her confidence in her self even if she is lacking confidence in herself.

If he'd done that it'd be much better really, Kushina was naturally going to die, no point in protecting her body..
And had he lived he'd actually be able to help Naruto master the damned biju, teach him techs, and fight the Akatsuki along side him.

Even the attack on the leaf would have been stopped oro vs 3rd and 4th who owns?
Not to mention 4th could kill all the blood crazed fodder running around in the blink of an eye.
