Do you think, because I do that hashirama's father lied about madara killing senju adults because it seems by how madara and hashirama wanted peace he would just kill them unless they attacked him. Also I believe that madara's dad probably said the same to him. This explains why he wanted to greet via the stones so he could tell hashirama to leave and it also explains why they were both timid and weren't 100% sure about the other. What do you think?

Well it is abvious both sides were told to kill eachother, but Hashirama and Madara refused in their minds. Probably because of the friendship they've build up together, despite the fact that they are from the two clashing clans. That's why they warned eachother, in order to flee and save themselves.
