Barney proceeds to search through the sorted papers on his shelves, looking for a particular paper, showing his detailed research about one of his older illusions. The so called Shadow Clone Illusion. Right as Barney says: "Ah, yes." and turns around with the paper and a happy remark on his face, a friend of his steps into the room.
Come in, come in. Have a seat my friend. This is it.
Barney shows the piece of paper to the gentlemen and starts explaining the illusion.
Genjutsu: Kage bunshin no sakkaku | Illusionary Arts: Shadow Clone Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 25
Damage: N/A
Description: The user performs the clone hand seal and makes his opponent see a shadow clone appear next to the user. The opponent then sees the shadow clone and the user start running towards him, both in an arc, left and right. Then the opponent sees them using jutsus that come at him from both sides, somewhat diagonally. As the jutsus are coming at the opponent, the original user can freely attack him.
Note: Using an other Genjutsu while this is active would end the illusion
Note: Only McRazor can teach this
As you can see, this is one of my simpler illusions. However, its simplicity sets it apart from other, more complicated illusions. Those complicated usually serve a certain purpose revolving around a bunch of factors, thus its complicity. However, a technique simple as this one, gives you a lot of freedom and a magnitude of possibilities. What you do is, perform the regular shadow clone handseal which puts your opponent into an illusion. In the illusion he will see nothing out of place; a shadow clone handseal and a shadow clone appearing. Simple as that. However, what the opponent doesn't know is that the original you, he's looking at, is also an illusion. By this I mean that once you have cast the illusion you can move while the opponent won't notice you. He will simply see you and the, assumed, original you charging towards him. As the technique says, he will then see you perform an attack. Now this is where the freedom comes in, however, I must warn you. I don't advise using techniques, because it would give you away. If you were to use techniques with both, that would seem to the opponent as you have performed your 3 techniques limit, and an actual technique outside of the illusion would be a hoax. One more important detail; as you're proceeding towards the opponent, you do so in an arc, each of the illusionary "you's" from one direction. Since the illusion counts as long as the clones are in play, you aren't able to perform another illusion, otherwise you would disrupt this one.
I have managed to defeat two of highly skilled opponents in a tournament by using this technique. What I made was, create the shadow clone with the illusion and charge at him with a barrage of ninja tools. In reality, I started running to my side (right) in order to get away from the reach of a possible technique my opponent could use against the clones. As I've done so, I performed a technique that appeared around the opponent, encasing him. A projectile wouldn't work so well because it would take time to travel towards him, while this one just appeared. Since he couldn't reason the genjutsu and had no knowings of my whereabouts he attacked the clones, got caught in my technique and left to my mercy.
I wish you to have fun with this one and to use it wise, as it's possibilities are infinite.
Barney eagerly awaits a reaction from his friend, with a smile on his face.
