Maybe someone would use it as intended, as a neutral descriptor, though that's not what I'm getting from you. The big problem with bestiality is their intelligence and inability to communicate consent. These diverse aliens, furry, hairless, sleek, scaly, whatever, would be able to do that.

Yes. The "apes" are humans. OP didn't mean a gorilla, but I assumed you took it that way and rode with it. The "furry men" I was referring to aren't humans either. They're aliens/gorillas, whatever.
