Pairing Danzo

I've searched through pretty much every Danzo fanfiction there is, looked at every fanart I can find, and discovered...

Sarutobi/Danzo (I was expecting that one :|)
Slight, implied Danzo/Koharu (in a mainly Saru/Danzo one...:sy
One Danzo/Sai picture (ew)
One weird onesided Danzo/Sakura confused

Danzo's one of my favorite characters, and honestly I don't get why more people don't (a) find him attractive or (b) ship anything with him.

If you're somebody who does either (a) or (b) I would love to hear from you.

If you respond with 'omg ew' or 'i hate danzo' or anything along those lines, this will be me - U_U

'Kay, I'm a little confused about the second sentence, but I'll address the first. Yeah, he's on the old side. I grew up around a wide variety of pairings and learning history where girls in their early teens were often married to much older men, so I guess I have a more lenient view of age in pairings than most people.
Imo, he's an extremely attractive old guy. Besides, if that bothers ya there's always the wonders of time-travel fics - one of my planned DanzoTen fics is like that because I was curious at what putting Younger!Danzo and Tenten together would be like. I like shipping them with their actual ages as well, though, which is like 72/18. I think age really doesn't matter past a certain point if there's love involved.
And if the second sentence means 'he's dead in canon', so are a lot of other people that still get ship attention. Also, I tend to live on AUs.

Tenten's eighteen in Shippuden.
If you don't want to pair him with someone much younger, I would think my second choice would be Danzo/Koharu. I write a lot of stuff with the younger Team Tobirama (who I've personally named the War Hawks) and I like writing interactions between them, even if I don't strictly ship them.


Extract from Here and Now, a War Hawks short
“What’s so funny?” she asks, switching her glower towards him.
“I’ve seen you up to your elbows in blood and never complaining about it.” Danzo sits down carefully among the plants, his calloused fingers skillfully twisting another berry from its stem. After a pause, he leans over and blows a thin stream of air on another stem; it parts and he smiles slightly, pleased at the control he’s developing. “But I suppose this isn’t a battlefield.”
“Yeah…” She cups a jewel-red fruit in her hands, savoring the rich blood-colored sheen of it. “It could be, though.”
Danzo nods in quiet acknowledgement; among all of the War Hawks there are certain moments where one simply understands what the other means, without excess words getting in the way.
The brunette kunouchi makes a face at the silence after a minute and throws the strawberry at Danzo, grinning as it leaves a red mark on his shoulder. The boy jumps and glares at her for a moment before his expression softens, something about the strawberries and the summer evening turning it almost mischievous, and he reaches into the leaves to remove an extremely ripe specimen.
Koharu’s eyes widen. “Danzo, if you throw that at me -”
He flicks it at her, but it sails over her head; after a moment, Sarutobi gives a yelp as something connects with his back.
“What the -”
The scarred boy goes back to his harvesting with an expression of utmost calm that Koharu envies, trying to keep her snickers from spilling out under a tightly clamped hand.'

i dont like danzo because he is a jerk a lot of the time [Madara is one of my all time favs since that flashback so i have no idea why this bothers me but it just does xd]

Well, they'd be contempary... and from opposing villages during a war. And their devotion to their villages would doom the relationship before it started...

Why Danzo/Tenten? Most of the time I understand why someone chooses a particular pairing, but with this pairing you lost me :ghehe:
He's not a favourite character of mine and I'm glad he died, but hey, everyone has their own favourite characters XD
But I'm really curious as to why you chose Tenten for him. Not to be rude but it seems a bit weird to me
Of course everyone is entitled to their own favourite pairing, but this particular choice makes me curious LOL

To start with your last question, yes I've tried Fanfiction.net, as well as anywhere else I can find, for DanzoTen. No go. Guess I'll have to write it myself, unless I can sell more people on it...
A combination of things started me on DanzoTen. I used to like NejiTen, but for one reason and another I just started to get annoyed with how EVERYONE shipped them, and started to actively dislike the pairing. Looking around for other Tenten pairings because she's my favorite girl, I found few options - the few other things people had thought of usually included guys I liked in other relationships - and so she wound up being unattatched in my headcanon for a while.
I started out hating Danzo, but during the period I was slowly starting to like him a little better I came up with the idea of him and Tenten meeting during a fic my sister and I were developing and I asked my MP3 player to give me a song for them (I do this a lot... it's fun) and I wound up with this -

which got me honestly thinking about what they'd be like, paired together.
Danzo's serious and tends to keep himself to himself a lot, so whoever he was with would need to be someone he felt he could trust, and his devotion to the ninja way means he'd most likely find a girl attractive only if he also valued her skills as a kunoichi. Tenten was described as 'the most promising kunoichi Konoha has produced this generation' and when the girls were younger she was easily the most serious of their group.
They're both dedicated to being the best they can (I can see a lot of training together if they were in a relationship) and Tenten is shown to find powerful and/or older men attractive. Danzo's uncompromising attitude and value of skill would doubtless drive Tenten to reach even greater heights, and Tenten's warmth might help temper some of Danzo's ruthless tendencies.
Also, I just think they look good together.
My secondary Tenten ship is FuTen, but I won't go into that right now...

*blinks* That explanation actually makes sense. I understand now why you like that pairing Danzo won't ever be my favourite character, but your explanation of your favourite pairing is interesting and if you say it like that I understand why you like that pairing
Well, fanfiction had the most stories that I know of so I thought you would find some there, but I guess not many people like that pairing ^^;
