Ok, when one of the members here (I forgot who so forgive me for not saying his/her name) asked a question as to "where does Pain get all these endless rods from since he keeps breaking them off?" so it had me thinking.
I was looking over all chapters to view a picture of Pain with a sword.
And you know so far I haven't seen one. In fact look at this.

So then I asked myself where would he be getting this endless black sword/transmitters?

Then it hit me. What if it's actually his blood that he is using to transmit the connection , whether it be in his corpses or in others that he stabs and breaks off?

That would explain why he is frail from using up a lot of his blood to MAKE THOSE CHAKRA TRANSMITTERS/RECEIVERS! Our bodies can make more blood but it's a slow process but not if it's constantly being drained.

And it's possible to that he has Yahiko's body filled with his own blood.
Ever notice it's only Yahiko's body that is doing the forming and stabbing of the chakra rods?

The question is how is it that he is making his blood turn to solid? Is a jutsu or kekkei genkai? And most importantly, is it his or Yahiko's ability? What we do know is there is no way it is an actual sword. That's why he doesn't have it to his back or hip. And we know there is no actual handle to it. So it's possible that this black "sword" is actually produced from him. When he pulls out the sword it always comes from inside his sleeve. And go back and look, each and every single time he uses his right hand to form the chakra receiver rod/sword.

Just a thought, not sure if anyone else thought of the same possibility.

wow thats a pretty good observation you have here...it really does sound possible. very cool thought
it would also explain why after hinata was stabbed it looks like the sword broke when it could be melting instead

Apparently I wasn't that far off as I just found this out ... I haven't been online for a while so I am catching up. But the thing with theories is that if you wait for a day or so, then post your theory, it's bound to be posted already.

Read below where it says it's blood.

Only thing is I didn't think it was melting as he has here. I thought it was his blood delaying in forming from Hinata's hit or perhaps just being weak.

Thanks btw, that means that he can do it in any body he is active in and it would make sense that since they all have the rods in them. But again it's in his right hand!

the blood theory makes sense to me.. it explains why nagato's got such a frail body.. and its plausible because he does take in dead bodies and "process" them.. at first we thought he only put in those piercings.. but this could hold true..

motherfury, this is not your theory, it was already mentioned in some spoilers, like this one I posted 2 days ago:

Black sticks that were holding Naruto from movement - are blood, containing in form with chakra.
Hinata's jutsu slightly touched Pain, and disorder his chakra control.
What we saw in Pain's sleeve, when he atacked Hinata were those sticks melting.
Naruto charges hiz laser, Pain notices that and grasp fainted Hinata:
Pain: *Some usual **** about pain

That is some nice observation there! I sure hope you're right cause if Hinata dies...well...then Kishimoto has killed of my favourite Naruto chick. And believe me, I don't want that SakuraBi*** to go all over Naruto. Let her stick to Sasuke. And NaruSaku fans dont hate me, I am just stating my opinion.

Yes yes I know it's not my theory. Read my second post.
I am not here to post something so astonishing so as to gain glory by who said what first. I am by no means a glory hound or here in any way seek the approval of my fellow members by stating something first. Hell, I am just happy there's others around here that are way into Naruto as outside this there is no one really into this. (It's the old birds of a feather deal that made me join here.)
I could say that I did think about this since earlier this week before the spoiler was put out at blogspot but that I never got around to posting it. But I doubt that you or anyone else would believe me. Eh, that's fine by me. That's why there's mystery suspense thrillers for right? so I can predict (that's half the fun!) to the person sitting next to me.
Though I don't have the luxury to go through and read everything as I want to. And usually when I am trying to post something I have to get back up to do something in the middle of it that my post will stay on the screen for damn near a day and half. ( I have now come to writing it on notepad since once or twice it someone else came to my pc and accidentally removed it.
And on that note, since I don't have the time to search through all the results in search (it's harder when there are no tags given when people post) that I from time to time I may post something that may or may not be already stated. Meh. I am in no way trying to steal anyone's thunder. Accidents do happy (quite frequently from what I see) that many post about the same thing. All the more reason we need a theories subforum. <- To keep track of them huh? As for me I am just quite happy that there are others here that are willing to talk about more possibilties.

Since I see that many of my fellow members here are really territorial and quite ferocious when it comes to revealing something first and want their due glory (credit) then all I have to say is by all means please post as you have done so. So whomever may receive their proper credit. It's fine by me. I am just here for the conversation is all.
