Pain's OTHER Weakness: Kawarimi + Bunshin no Jutsu

Deva Pain was NOT able to see through Kakashi's replacement and raiton bunshin.

From the looks of it Deva Pain was clearly surprised upon learning that Kakashi did a replacement when he was blown back by his barrier jutsu and seeing Kakashi's raiton bunshin.

Rinnegan for all it's hype also suffers from the weakness of the other doujutsus: The inability to see thru kawarimi and bunshins.

I've said this in another topic, but I'll say it again..
Pein was not fooled by Kakashi's bunshin, but Kakashi switched between himself and the clone so quickly, that Pein couldn't react fast enough.
I mean, go back and read for yourself.
Kakashi switches when he says ''Shi...!!'' and at that point, he's about a half second away from being stabbed.

The 3 great Doujutsu are supposed to see through ALL Taijutsu, Genjutsu, and Ninjutsu... but Pein couldn't see through Kakashi's lightning clone.. so it's possible that Pein could be fooled again.

The clone didn't fool Pein, but the switch between Kakashi and Kakashi's clone was so fast that Pein didn't have time to react.
He could be fooled again, but it's gonna take some good timing.

Now after reading QwertyHero's reply, I went back and reread the chapter and discovered that he was exactly right. Look at these two pages..

There's two details here to prove him right and one far reaching theory that could prove him wrong. On the first page, we see Kakashi being drawn in.. he's thinking to himself which means it's no replacement technique. On the second page, he wraps a chain around that pillar, so it's still him even at this point because lightning can't hurl heavy ass chains or even hold on to them. And a minor thing, right before he's about to get stabbed he says "SHIT!" which means at this point he's still a living, thinking being and not a replacement. So he had to form his clone sometime between him saying shit and the very next panel where he gets stabbed. That's probably a .003 second time frame right there so no wonder Pein didn't notice.

Now.. if it was Kakashi's shadow clone that Pein pulled in and formed a lightning clone at the last second (which doesn't make much sense) THEN you could say that Pein can't see through clones.

I agree, he was surprised. his eyes do not see the flow of Chakra . If you look at the way he fights, all his fights center around the fact that all pain's eyes see from the others prospective.
he uses six bodies and they all have a power or talent but a well rounded ninja can make the difference like J-Man(but he could not put all the puzzle together).

that's why naruto will make the difference he his strength play into pains weakness.

remember the sage of six paths had more than just the rinnigan.

Clones can speak guys, whether there kage bunshins, water bunshins, or raikage bunshins.

If you can talk with water clones i dont see why you cant with lightning clones.

There just elemental clones.

What's a kawarimi

a kawarimi is the jutsu where they swicht places with a piece of wood or sth. in theory you're also able to do it without sth. to switch and just change your place, as haku did when he protected zabuza.

kagebunshin can touch metal, so i think that it would be stupid if elemental clones couldn't, cause they seem to need more chakra and are harder to create (you have to have mastered an element).
i think that this clone was kakashi before because he stands up from these ruins. if he used kawarimi to change place, he could have used it before when he was drawn in, there was no real need to neither teleport in the ruins nor to create a bunshin for that, he could've used simply a piece of waste of the ruins. the only thing that seems strange is that he had lightning chakra around his hand when he stood up.
what do you think of the possibility that demon realm couldn't evade because he was paralized by the lightning clone? normaly they 'ld have evaded both cause they are thinking together.

My sentiments exactly.
Basically, what I thought was a lightning clone should not be able to touch metal without being conducted into said metal.
So when Kakashi wraps the chain around the pillar, he is still a real person, but when he realizes that he's about to be stabbed by a METAL blade thingy, he forms a lightning clone to take his place, just in the nick of time.
