The three days of storms.
In honor of Jake kinnent
By Christopher Rae wheeler
The winds become cold, they howl like a wolf at the moon of old.
The faster we run, the faster we freeze in our steps.
The wind colder then ice, the heat of day; spring hot causing climatic dismay in our heads.
In the face of this growing threat into the course of this windy day, we seek shelter to weather the storm.
Day light turning into a new moon night, no sounds of joy but of fearful plight.
The Wolfs had come’th they bring the gales of time.
Then something changed in the winds of time, giving rise to the cold empire of winter’s wrath.
Now and then sacrifice must be made to quell the Gods wraths.
Blue pale skin, icicles hanging of their faces, dead and frozen.
A human Popsicle if I may be bold to say.
No more weeds to grow, no more fields that is not fallow.
Their eyes wonder in disgusts of the rich men and their fires.
Their greed and war monger make the night colder and longer.
Wives without their husbands to be comforted, lured by temptation.
Hellish cold to judge not the righteous or evil, only to root out the weak and those living in destitute.
Then it happened hope for a new dawn of the New Year.
Rain and the sun came upon this new day.
Flowing mighty rivers to winters dismay, new governed rights to the people.
Cherry blossoms, lilies flow in the river.
Clear and pristine, water to make you see your true self.
Hello and welcome to the new dawn.
The new dawn of man, the new dawn of hope.
The new dawn under the deity we worship.
We will love each other; the fields grow lush with care and tidiness.
No more wives to be grieved by being alone in the winter.
Bring all the soldiers home; let the young sons smile in their dad’s eyes.
Make peace with daughters as they move on in life.
Let the children of the new generation know no wars.
No scorn and grievance.
Let us hold each other close.
So when the next winter comes we will all be warm.
