Pain is still stronger than naruto

So i have been thinking about sasuke vs pain and i think sasuke would because of his sheild and i think that sasuke is stronger than naruto. I saw pain vs naruto again and the only reason hes alive is because of hinata. Pain would have killed him if it werent for her.

Yes, back when Naruto only had sage mode, more than 100 chapters and 2 modes later, Naruto is much stronger so would beat Pain, Pain wouldn't have time to improve while Naruto has really improved (Don't know about Nagato though).

BTW, I don't want to say this because it may start a flame war, but currently Naruto is stronger than Sasuke.

Naruto would have been owned by pain back then if he did not have the information from everybody elses fights, if pain was trying to kill him instead of capture and if the deva path was able to use his power from the beginning. Naruto today would rape pain even without these conditions. Now nagato is different. He has all the powers of the paths in one body and they are stronger and faster as a result. However naruto beating pain today is not very much of a debate because he is so much faster compared to back then.
