You mean this one? Lee threw Minato's kunai in between Gai and Madara just when Madara was throwing the black orbs. Minato took the hit from all of the orbs and then teleported himself away with the orbs attached to him.

He was referring to the staff, but I'm sure the concept applies to the spheres as well. So he let them skim him, they disappeared, and he teleported away.

Nah, Kakashi used Kamui on Gai, teleporting him behind Madara so he could land his hit on him.

No Minato is not dead. He only brushed the orbs to break their shape and make them disappear.

Minato did according to kakashi spoke of he just brushed and the black orbs where pulled back by madara to protect him so he didn't notice kakashi and he used kamui and brought gai to the opposite side where madara didn't expect and he vas very curious on not getting hit by gai's fist...

You're wrong on 2, pal. Gai was in front of Madara before, then Kakashi comes along and Gai is suddenly behind him.

Edit: Actually shit, I'm wrong here. I didn't catch that Madara was completely covered before Kakashi came up. I thought he started covering from the top and it was spreading around him, then Kakashi came and teleported Gai behind him where it wasn't covering him. My bad and my apologies.

Still curious as to why Madara looked like he turned around if Gai was in front of him..

stragegy happened...

lee threw kunai in b/w gai and orbs,minato appeared in the kunai's location via ftg and took the hit of all black orbs head on and disappeared with them out of madara's vision >70 m away while also ftg'ing kakashi on gaara's sand beside him where gaara then holds his sand mid air with kakashi in safe zone and close enough location to kamui madara's omyouden black stuff making an opening for gai to enter the protection circle and kick madara's ass.
