I started watching it 5 minutes in and got so bored - it looked so corny.

Maybe it's as its Honest Trailer says: ''the most dumb awesome movie ever''.

Maybe I'll try it again when I'm bored sometime.

Awful film. Biggest disappointment of 2013, even more so than Man of Steel.

It was so heavily inspired by mecha anime, TV shows and culture that came before it that you think it'd incorporate some of that light-hearted fun into the film but it just doesn't translate. Especially as it had so much potential, with all of the nations combined- but instead China & Russia get defeated in the first few seconds of the battle leaving it to Good ol' MURICA to save the day (really)

The advertising team did a much better job than the filmmakers, for actually making me hyped to see it, on my birthday too :')

Lawl'd so hard at that movie. After hearing that father and son team attempt an aussie accent could not take the movie seriously - worst accent attempt ever.

I believe Idris Elba's character is English. Idris Elba has the same accent as me, classic Londoner which is why it might come across as odd. And he also in the comics has one of the coolest backstories ever.

His parents got killed in the nightclub they work at and so Stacker burned the nightclub to the ground and attacked the owner. Got sent to military school and became one of the first Jaeger pilots. Oh look, another cool thing the movie didn't bother with even with it's big running time.

And yes, having Idris the main character would've made so much more sense.
