Overstatement or Actual Fact?

In the latest episode (320 "Run, Omoi!") we saw Tsunade saying "Just one of his Shadow Clones has the strength to protect an entire village", referring to Naruto in this case. Shikaku later responded "Lady Hokage, that's overstating it a bit".


Did Tsunade exaggerate a little? Or were her words actually telling the truth even though if she was joking around?


We know that Shikaku is a very intelligent man and that what he says is probably always right, but with Naruto's Sage Mode and Kyuubi Mode I think it's actually possible. Of course the probability of protecting a village depends on the type of enemy invasion and who the enemy is, but in general what are your thoughts on this?

Honestly, no. I just picked this up and I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on it.

It's a good question, but considering the dialogue was featured in a filler episode, there's no need to take it seriously.

That said, I don't really think Tsunade was exaggerating too much.
If, for example, the village was attacked by an army from another village, Naruto could send out a dozen KCM clones to defeat the majority of them in a short amount of time, similar to how he aided the Alliance against the Zetsu army.

It ultimately depends on who attacks the village in that scenario. If it's someone insanely powerful, then there's a chance Naruto would be unable to defeat the threat and protect the entire village.
