Overlooked | Footspeed; Suigetsu Hōzuki

That is facts my man. I always ranked the Hozuki clan as top tier. In my clan ranking thread I put them in S rank, I would even go as far as to put them above the Hyuuga closer to senju/uchiha. Good work my man.

The Hōzuki are above the Hyūga from my view point, though the Hyūga Clan is nothing short of impressive. Both slightly below the Uchiha, and rank over the Senju (excluding the powerhouses we've seen originate from the Senju). I say both Hōzuki, and Hyūga > Senju due to manga portroyal. We've only seen two (three if you count Tsunade) powerful Senju, the rest we've no information on; the Senju Clan didn't possess any Kekkei Genkai, nor Hiden. The only reason the Senju are ranked alongside the Uchiha is because of the Hashirama, and Tobirama.

Sui is fast, but honestly manga does so little with the actual portrayal while in anime is normal speed.

Minato used FTG, no one reaction time is instant in Naruto.

I'm not sure Suigetsu is faster than Hashirama. However, even if it were true, fans would riot objectively against Suigetsu a mere "fodder" being faster than Hashirama based on character appeal, rather than manga portrayal. Being faster =/= being able to beat someone.

Agreed. Suigetsu is more complex than what the majority give him credit for. Especially in regards to his body composition. His overall natural talent is Kage level, yet I've seen tier list rank him as Jōnin.

Exactly. His ability to liquefy is a big problem for anyone that isnt a raiton user or possibly gaara(he might be able to use his sand to slow him down considerably) I mean the dude was able to match a bijuus size with a body of water present and tank a point blank tbb to the face (I know he was out for a bit but come on, its a tbb to the face) besides id say by gaiden it'd be silly to think he hasn't surpassed his brother who was highly regarded himself

The manga portrayed his speed properly. Going off anime depiction isn't suggested, as the anime has often been shown to exaggerate things (e.g. Kurama's size in Nagato's Chibaku Tensei - Kurama's manga portrayal was seen to be minuscule in comparison to Chibaku Tensei. While in the anime Kurama was shown to be roughly half the size of the massive structure). Flying Thunder God is indeed instant, but Minato's striking speed is not. Kirābī was shown to react to Minato's striking speed; the sword wasn't already placed in that position, as I just rectified.

Certainly. All three Hōzuki we've seen within the manga have all been prodigious; Suigetsu, while still of a maturing age, was slightly below Gengetsu Hōzuki's (Nidaime Mizukage) level by manga portrayal. Gengetsu alone raises so many questions regarding his body composition, and how it came to possess, and sync components opposite in nature (i.e. water, and oil). The Hōzuki Clan is one of the clans you just can't help but think: "What if?" Similar to the Kaguya Clan, as well Jūgo's.

Couldn't agree more. I've no idea why claims of discredit amass when the fact: Suigetsu tanked a point blank Bijūdama is brought up. He's alive correct? Then he withstood the technique, it doesn't matter what other personal/opinionated definitions of tanking an attack means, using the actual reference Suigetsu did in fact perform that feat. Which goes on to imply if it weren't point blank (i.e. where the energy is most focused/amassed due to it being the center of build-up) he'd be able to withstand a Bijūdama without facing similar results in comparison to his first encounter with the technique. Suigetsu is above Mangetsu by manga portrayal, but hype favors Mangetsu.

Spoiler I must say Suigetsu is pretty fast. Excellent thread He also got behind Cee (a skilled sensor). Although Darui was there to block Suigetsu's attack. This is a magnificent thread. Well done. solid thread. the intercepting Ay feat especially is hugely impressive when you consider the latters speed. characters like suigetsu dont really get talked about so this thread is much appreciated. i mean he is a child prodigy afterall as even kisame acknowledged him
