I want to overclock My things, just a bit.
Cpu
AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad-Core Processor
4.2 Ghz
to
4.7 or 4.8 (IF POSSIBLE)

Gpu
AMD Radeon HD 6670

MotherBoard
MSI (Micro Star) 760GM-P21

What Can I overclock my Cpu to maximum (not gonna do maximum but just to know) and what voltage would I need.
What volage would I need for the following:

4.7, 4.8 or/and 4.9?

Same goes for Gpu.

Also Is there any sites that tell you the Maximum overclock and stuff for your gpu and Cpu?

To add to this I want to increase the "High performance memory clock setting" It is currently on 667 mhz
What do I put it on?

Thanks for all the help, i will make sure to + R*Ep!I am bit of a noob at this stuff :p

So... I wonder what kind of benefit those extra 500-600 MHz will give you, probably nothing at all. You'll end up frying your CPU/GPU if you don't do this correctly.

You see to overclock it, you need to go to the motherboard Bios and see if it supports overclocking. I think it does, so restart the PC and keep mashing Delete, F12, F2 (All are different)

Make sure you have a good aftermarket cooler for your processor and a good enough power supply (80+ certified) for your gpu with decent airflow and ventilation in the case.

There are a lot of factors that come into play with overclocking. You should have the proper stuff before attempting to OC, especially with AMD because it will more than likely get HOT (you're not gonna get 4.7 GHz with a stock cooler whether Intel or AMD lol, I hope you at least know that much). Like *** said, you could fry your system if you aren't sure about what you're doing.

A quick google search can answer your questions but some good sites to check out are and .

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I did some research and found out that your motherboard has a 95w TDP while your processor has a 125w TDP. Basically, your motherboard can only support or help cool off a processor up to 95 watts, so it's likely that you're straining your motherboard right now if you're on 4.2 GHz. You might actually have to underclock instead of overclock lol.

Sounds like this is a prebuilt. It's pointing at OCHW, though I've never heard of them. Get your money back ASAP.

If you're going to get a prebuilt you could have at least gotten a compatible one.

Pretty much what the top guys said, also to add on to that, download programs like CPU-Z, to monitor the temp and speed.
