Overated games thread

Most of them I can agree with to some extent, but I don't think FF7 or Morrowind are that overrated.
FF7 is great, but unfortunately it has a small fanbase consisting of people who believe it is the greatest RPG ever. They tend to make the game sound perfect, which is far from the truth but it was one of the best games of its time.

Most of the Pokemon games were awesome too, but it became really overrated when White/Black came out. People were constantly hyping up the story, yet it was nothing special nor was it any better than the previous games.

Diablo 3 one of the most overrated games, hyping for 4-5 years and it actually sucked balls

I liked it. Story line sucked though.

Dude are you serious ? Battlefield has one of the most enjoyable and one of the best game-play experience for a FPS.

Only game I think is kind of overrated is Infamous. I love playstation but comon....no one knew what that games was until playstation offered the 1st one for free.

Da fuq? How does that make it overrated? It's my favorite PS3 exclusive this gen.

OT: GTA4 is the most stupidly overrated game this gen. RDR stomps it low diff.

- You get like 10 kills the entire match.

- So slow paced.

- Overall the controls are sluggish and clunky.

They need to take notes from games like Gears of War and Call of Duty about good controls and fast paced action.

Morrowind

You say it's overrated because you probably played it too late, maybe after Oblivion.
Frankly, I never played it until a year ago and I felt the same, but the charm of an old game is the feel you get by having played it when it first came out. :| This goes for any old game.

It's a different kind of shooter. BF does things better than COD, and vice versa.

You've already established your apparent dislike for the series, so don't be surprised if your opinion is taken with a grain of salt.

The story is blah, the dialouge is generic as they come. The move set is simple. I had more fun playing spiderman 3. Not lieing.
