Overall opinion of the manga?

Kishi spent 15 years writing and drawing this manga... How do you think the overall story went? Could he have done better? How?

I think part II went downhill. He had 700 chapters to make it interesting, but he never made it dramatic or relevant enough. It all felt pieced together week after week in an attempt to prolong it.

Pain was the best villain. He had the best warped motive for being a villain. His belief system was awesome, and the power levels of characters were good enough to where it wasn't getting ridiculous.

I love naruto. I rate it 10/10. I think the story went the best it possibly could. Ya kishi could've explained a few things more and tie more loose ends up and space out the ending but he did his best in ending the war and the series in just 2 chapters and it really exceed my expectations.

Part 1 was almost perfect, I loved the chunin exam arc. Part 2 (and the manga in general peaked during the pain arc) went into a sharp decline from the time Pain revived Konoha. I really didn't feel the whole edo tensei+zetsu army as antagonists as opposed to human, living villains. The Obito reveal sucked, Obito's motives sucked, Obito in general sucked. Kaguya was meh and Madara got trolled.

Part 1: 9/10

Part 2: 7/10

Overall: 8/10
