The Outer Reefs (A03)
The Outer Reefs is located further west of the Shallows and is characterized by a steep drop off in depth, breaching 40 meters and reaching as deep as 300 meters below the surface. It is a massive biome composed of relatively flat areas with reefs littering the floor of the ocean. Most of the flora at its deepest reaches are highly bioluminescent making for beautiful sights, but still do not compare to the Great Reef to the southwest. As part of the Western Ocean it is connected to the shoreline of Kamiyasumi, the Shallows, and the Icy Floes. It is also connected to the Veiled Ocean and the Great Reef to the southwest.
