It doesn't seem like it since it's all very shifty, but yes, in order to have your own little store in the US it requires the person to pay an incredibly percentage of what they make to the Gov. There's three entities, okay, three, and each one holds out their hand like some hungry monster. Sure, for the average citizen everything's fine; an employee gets so many incredible benefits because of socialism.
However, what the happy employee doesn't realize is that their benefits are being paid for by the business they're working at...so the business goes down and lays off their staff. Now the employee is un-employed, but can still get money for being un-employed from the gov. However, the businesses and hard working employees that still have jobs are paying for the ones that don't; what that means is it's putting more strain on those that are making money.
This is the vicious cycle, it's why communism and socialism do not work. Un-employment in the US is at an all-time high, but why would someone bother trying to get a job when they're being paid to do nothing? Also, with every year that goes by, the taxes increase, this latest healthcare thing is just one more to drive the nail in the coffin. Employees get so many benefits as it is, why do they need more?
Having employees for any company is the single greatest expense. A large company can build a multi-million dollar facility, but they'll pay several times that much in employee expenses in a very short amount of time. However, the only reason why it's such an expense is not because they make so much, it's all the taxes that have to be paid to have them. What the employee makes is a drop in the bucket compared to the insurance required to have them.
It's just because the government is too big. We need to fire everyone in congress since they obviously aren't capable of doing their job, stop paying the IRS since it costs more than it makes and chop anything else that's useless so we can reduce government to a small fraction of what it is now. It's out of control as it is, and I don't understand why people just ignore the giant, pink elephant standing on top of them.
