I can agree with that. As a young male, kids today only care about how they look, or how others feel about them.
I get how they feel but I always question who raised them, who showed you how to do this and that. The media shows nothing but how you should feel about a certain situation.
I've grown up with the rules my parents had on their backs, the thing is I don't understand is how the kids of this generation completely lack sensibility.

It's not that all children lack sensibility, it's just the ones that lack it are the ones that are getting popularized and are providing the staple of their generation to the general media. Everything's conforming around those kids which is doing nothing but harm to their mindset, i.e. music, technology, etc.

our generation has taken a nose dive in morals and have become more callous. the greatest generation was during the hunter gathering periods thousands of years ago when altruism and egalitarianism was the norm

Yeah pretty much. New people are born into society and older ones leave it. The younger people just have to learn how society works. With that said it's going to keep looping till the end of civilization, people are going to keep learning similar lessons, through both the ignorance and genius of others throughout the generations.

Most of the time people whine about "Our Generation" because there learning a new lesson as well. That's one of the guiding principles of the universe. Action(through cause and effect), and lessons resulting from action. That feeds into the saying "History repeats itself", it really does but not always in the same way or means as the past.

That's true, not all of them. I think that kids (5-12) that get introduced to popular technology so early are likely to be corrupt. I don't like the fact that parents are giving them smartphones and mature rated games at such an early age. I understand that other kids would be wanting that because other kids around school would be showing them off to friends.

I didn't get a smartphone until I was 13, all I had was a flip-phone at an early age just to receive calls from my parents. Smartphones are a distraction to them. I was taught that video games are just video games, they're not real. Today, games are assumed to be influential to children in a bad way.

It's just that, the "evil" children are the non-sensible, they lack sensibility because of their parents. Parenting is also to blame by others.

It's just that kids and teens these days are caught between internet and real world. They are no loger what kids in the past were. It's the technology.

And it depends on the family situation, too, no offence to anybody, but the majority of friends i have that have their parents divorced or had some kind of depressing event in their family, are ruined...The kids don't have a great childhood, knowing their parents are separated. This goes to having bad influences from "friends", they get into internet, no one stops them from doing what they want etc...you know the story.

2000s, 90s, 80s etc.

All generation are more or less, the same. However, what sets the current/early-next generation apart is the technology - due to the internet and a more "share-based" society, such events come to light more often than before. I would bet that similar events occurred in the previous generation - there is nothing wrong with the generation as a whole.

Each generation is the byproduct of what previous generation worked toward. I am a member of this generation, and most people are calm, composed and quiet and know what to do etc. Obedient teenagers - occasional rebellious nature but that has exited since the beginning of human. Only the occasional teenager has a few bolts loose.. In addition, as rude as this may sound, most of the "bad-children" of this generation, are kids raised by teenagers.. Not all, I know some who are okay but quite a few are this way..
