Not in the sense that they care about him, but his death marks a new era. I also like how he dies and what his final words are, he doesn't regret his actions, he just accepts faith and says that as he failed, he should maybe have gone with the other solution as he may have succeeded with that. The ending between Hashirama and Madara are sad.

I really don't get it . Kurama said to Minato that Obito won't die because the Juubi Jinchurikis are different . But Madara died cuz the Bijuus was extracted from him just like Obito ? No logic .

Obito didn't die as he still had the Gedo within him, Madara on the other hand lost that as well when they sealed Kaguya away. Once Obito lost the Gedo, he would have died, as quoted by Black Zetsu.
