Dix is probably my favorite artist from the 20th Century. Lately I've had the oportunity to look closer to his art in general (not only his etching work) and I thought I could try to portray him the same way he did with other ppl Xd I tried at least xd

It's considered to be one of his most iconic works while he was in Berlin.
And in general, he would observe and try to capture only the most distinctive features of the model. Also, Dix often put an special emphasis on the hands and body language, saying the first impression is always the genuine one; as well stating that the exterior of a person (the body) would reveal its interior.
I tried to put in my drawing what always sparks my attention about him xd Being this his frowning, his analytic look, his sharp nose and his huge hands xd I hoped that would reveal a bit about the painter, and play a proper mini tribute to him xd
