Why didn't Orochimaru take a sharingan when he was implanting them into Danzo's eyes?

Why?! that would have been easy for his covetous nature, seeking after the "ultimate knowledge"/final/truth.

I mean, "Hey, Danzo, since I implanted you the Hashirama cells and shraringans, .. .Umm let me have one or two.. ."

He could have said something along those lines

also because Orochimaru wanted to get everything in place first so he could get the right balance of

Uchiha, sharingan, hashi(senju) dna, combined for all jutsu and sage abilities so he can become godlike

Well as kakashi said in one of the chapters each village tries to protect its techniques, so I don't believe Konoha ninjas or ANBU squad will let any person get away with Sharigan so easily, and Danzo always tried to protect the village so he never could have paid Orochimaru with something like Sharingan.

The eyes would have been much, much weaker without an Uchiha body. On top of that, it's highly likely Orochimaru wanted to evolve his future Sharingan into the Rinnegan. He probably couldn't do that with just the eye alone and a host body.
