I honestly think Orochimaru could have took advantage of all the commotion and catastrophe to steal some bijuu chakra from the Kurama cloaks that Naruto gave everyone. He could have used it for an experiment of some sort...maybe make someone a Psuedo-Jinchuuruki *shrugs*

He was interested in seeing Sasuke's wind, I guess. Plus, with Madara running around, it'd be ill-fated to try to turn on the alliance at any point, because Madara's victory would mean a permanent, world-wide illusion.

No, i'm saying that with all the explosions and commotion, that no one would have noticed if Orochimaru kidnapped one or two Shinobi and sealed their Kurama chakra inside a jar or something. Orochimaru would then kill them so that they couldn't say anything, and then he would throw their bodies with the rest and act like Madara killed them or something. Everyone would be too distracted to notice, anyway.

Well, he could've taken stuff after the war. We have no idea what happened to madara's body, jj madara's lower body or the bodies of the deceased zetsu. There's also obito's sharingan lab.

Orochimaru had a lot of potential and it would have been cool to actually make him an important villain in the war arc rather than him having a totally out-of-character change of heart that would turn him into an irrelevant side-character.
