Orochimaru's Jutsu recovery.

Something has been bothering me and while I think I've gotten to the bottom of it I wanted to know what others think/say, anyway on to the point..there are some massive spoilers within so read with caution (I don't create many threads and decided to bring this to a more popular section)

So as we all know Orochimaru now has his "arms" back (referring to the scene) I'm confused about this whole situation though, when the Third Hokage performed Dead Demon Consuming Seal (reaper death seal to be straight forward) to Orochimaru he was suppose to loose access to all jutsu..

That is the scene I was talking about. As we all know Orochimaru would later go on to switch bodies yet again, now this is what I'm confused about..

In this scene we can clearly see Orochimaru using jutsu, how is this the case? in the present manga time he stated just a few chapters ago that he can now use jutsu again with his "arms" back. Is this a loophole in the series or did I miss something? also what did he exactly get back with his "arms" now? I'm aware that he gets access to jutsu back but how did he ever loose it if he was able to use it against naruto with Rashōmon gates?

He just got his original arms back, before he was using a sacrifice's arms.

he only took his arms so he cant use them which for most ninja mean no jutsu but all jutsu that can be performed without hand seals he can still do no problem

- rasenan ( no hand seals)
- summoning ( no hand seals)
- some genjutsu ( no hand seals)
so on and so forth haha

His strength had been immensely decreased because he lost his own arms. He was still able to use hosts' bodies, but he was limited to what that host was capable of, so he became much weaker. Whoever's body he was using when he summoned the gates had to be fairly skilled and powerful, but nowhere near aorochimaru's own abilities.

It's why he became so nerfed, after being so hyped up by everybody. Jiraiya even admits his strength is inferior to Pro's, so that should give you something to gauge his true abilities with. I believe that he'll be in most top 10 lists by the time this manga is done. I am hoping it will finally show him going balls to the walls, and fighting with everything he has. No jokes, no gimmicks, no ulterior motives. Just going ****in' nuts on some punk ass bitch.

^Correct. Was just about acknowledge that part. Hand seals are used to manipulate and mold chakra. His abilities were severely limited due to have lesser shinobi's abilities, rather than his own. Now he gets to walk out to that battlefield and say, "I'm the only creepy, lunatic mad man in this many a. You two bitches get to steppin'". He then proceeds to absolutely shit on Obi to and Madara, take the Juubi, and use it to open up a catholic churce so that he's free to play with little boys' penises.

Yes, it does. It's a summoning technique, and it requires molding and shaping chakra. Through practice, and skill, one can lessen the amount of time/seals required, but it is STILL ninjutsu. Tobirama, said to be the water god, still needed 1 seal to use water dragon. And he is the pinnacle of water jutsu.
