There are two things I would also like to point out regarding Sasuke and Orochimaru: the indispensability of Orochimaru after meeting TOWKE and the mutual beneficence of Sasuke and Oro's alliance.
I think Orochimaru knows that after he has served his purpose (using the scroll, Sasuke meeting TOWKE) Sasuke would dispose of him by either killing him or sealing him, because I doubt if Sasuke will simply let him go as a reward for helping him out therefore giving Oro the chance to take over Sasuke's body when the opportunity arises, I doubt if Sasuke is that gullible and if he is counting on Sasuke's arrogance in letting him go for that would directly contradict Orochimaru's observation of the change Sasuke has since the time when he and Itachi were controlling him, plus plot wise that would be like beating a dead horse so its not plausible, and I don't think Orochimaru believes in that possibility too, I also doubt if Orochimaru post-TOWKE expects Sasuke to allow him to be his subordinate along Suigetsu and Jugo, afterall to embrace a serpent is to invite poison into your veins, since Orochimaru himself had no inhibitions when he boasted that what he wants is not the war but Sasuke's body, so being an ally or member of Hawk is also out of the question.
So how does Orochimaru ensures his safety? what is his insurance so to speak that Sasuke would give him time to recuperate and overtake his body, for as Orochimaru said "I don't have the strength to take that body of yours, yet" so what gives Orochimaru his security that he would be allowed by Sasuke to regain his strength even after he has served his purpose? as a reward? to become a liability and a danger afterwards? no, I don't think so, Sasuke is no fool, and neither is Orochimaru, so it only logical to assume that Orochimaru knows of his indispensability even after serving his purpose, so what is it? what is Orochimaru's insurance?
The only plausible probability I could think of is Orochimaru's assimilation into Sasuke's body as a symbiotic parasite as a necessary prerequisite in using the scroll and meeting TOWKE, because even after meeting TOWKE, Orochimaru's essence would still be inside Sasuke, that would give him the opportunity to regain his strength and one day take over Sasuke's body again when the latter is weakened, that would also solve the question of mutual beneficence? what does Orochimaru gain in return for his services to Sasuke? since I have argued already that letting him go is improbable and absurd and that forging a longstanding alliance with him is highly improbable, then what would Orochimaru gain after he has served his purpose? the only logical thing I can think of is that what Orochimaru gains is Sasuke's body in return, albeit without control over it, yet, Sasuke gets to use the scroll and meets TOWKE and Orochimaru finds himself a new abode to dwell in, no other than his most prized possession: Sasuke Uchiha.
