Ok, this has been on my mind for awhile now! I am really confused on regards to Orochimaru's curse mark and Minato's seal and how they work!
As I recall, when Orochimaru places a curse mark on someone, a portion of his chakra is sealed within that person as well. At the beginning of the Ten-Tails Revival Arc, Sasuke had revived Orochimaru using the curse mark that was placed on Anko's neck, but when Orochimaru was revived, he explained that while he was dead, his consciousness ended up inhabiting the seal that was placed on Anko. He also seemed to have known about all of what was going on the whole time! Very similar occurred when Sasuke was battling Itachi during the Itachi pursuit arc! That being said, How does Orochimaru's curse mark exactly work??
Minato's seal is even more confusing, yet strikingly similar to Orochimaru's curse mark! (Not sure about that! Correct me if I'm wrong!) Minato used the Eight Trigrams Seal and placed the his and Kushina's remaining chakra into Naruto. Correct? Minato and Kushina had appeared in Naruto's subconscious years later, however, they are regarded as Chakra imprints, yet at the same time, it is strongly indicated that those chakra imprints were actually Naruto's real parents that he met. During the Invasion of Pain Arc in the anime (Not sure if this is shown in the manga or not), when Naruto is about to free Kuruma thus letting him take over his body, it shows Minato in heaven and rushing to Naruto's rescue. I'm confused! That being said, Did Naruto actually meet his parents or did he meet clones of his parents??? What I mean on regards to "clones of his parents" is what would be equivalent to one of Naruto's Shadow Clones being sealed within someone.
Final questions: Is Orochimaru's curse mark and Minato's seal virtually the same?? OR are they entirely different?? Also, if Minato's seal is virtually the same as Orochimaru's curse mark, then can Minato and Kushina be revived in a similar way to how Orochimaru was revived? I.E. Naruto gathering some of their DNA, extracting their chakra from his seal and performing a jutsu similar to what Sasuke used to revive Orochimaru with. O_O
