I am curious about the 8 branches technique shown by Orochimaru.
Based on the information I have read, it is indicated to be his ultimate technique.

Itachi cut off the heads of the serpent - but they kept coming.
What would have happened if Itachi had not sealed Oro away? - and the fight had continued - Susanno vs the Eight Branches form.

Indeed - that shocked me a little. Given the idea that it is ultimate technique, I presumed he would have lasted longer. Makes me wonder what else Oro could do in this form and what abilities we did not see.

Tbh i think its power could rival a biju.(or huge summons) but itachi is just a league on his own^^ but other uchihas/and non uchihas would have had a hard time against orochimaru. It seems itachi was simply orochimarus kryptonite. A bad match up

The technique was a let down,i wonder if those serpents head could grow back if they are cut,and maybe they can shoot out chakra bombs,that would be cool.

Obviously it is a very powerful technique, but nobody takes it seriously because it was one-paneled.

I was talking more like in terms of strenght^^ also a biju bomb isnt(usually) just shot. It needs prepare tims... remember naruto fought shukaku with gamabunta...there was no bijubomb there^^ but gamabunta could kinds keep up with shukaku. I meant something like that

Susanoo already fodderized it, that's why Orochimaru had to come out himself, all his Hydra's heads except the middle one were cut off with zero difficulty. If Oro hadn't been sealed away, Susanoo would have dealt the finishing blow.
