So the only possible candidate.

So now Kabuto/Orochimaru revived him again. Scary....this is very obvious where it is foreshadowing.

It depends what manga page you look at. Kabuto said it was Minato. But the 3rd Hokage said he was attempting to STOP the 3rd casket from coming. IDK which one it really was, but I highly doubt Orochimaru tried to use Edo on the Hokage without testing it first.

The 3rd Coffin didnt appear because the 3rd Hokage STOPPED IT.

This. Orochimaru wasn't a fool, he would never try to bring Madara from the dead like Kabuto did. Oro might not have his ET as perfected as Kabuto but surely he knew better than to try to bring Madara from the dead without completely wiping out his mind.

Sorry about that. I updated that post as soon as I wrote it.

We are talking about to different manga pages. I thought you were talking about what was said DURING the fight.

The 3rd Hokage said that he needs to stop the 3rd Casket from coming, and performs a jutsu. That was much later in the Manga when Kabuto commented on the fight. On one manga the 3rd Says he stopped it. Then later Kabuto said he stopped it. I do see what you mean now though.

Minato's was trying to be ressurected. It ultimately failed because the soul was no longer in this world, therefore, the coffin crumbled into the ground.
