It doesnt really matters.....Orochimaru wants the Sharingan to awake the rinnegan and do who knows what with it.....But to awake the Rinnegan it is required many things as the mangekyou to advance to the eternal mangekyou sharingan to then advance to the rinnegan with the Senju's cells that he already has......Most likely he would somehow obtain the Rinnegan itself from Obito's corpse or the other one left who knows where...Plus he needs a body "An Uchiha Body" that can handle the chakra demand because after one sharingan gets implant it never returns off.....Among other things but who knows he is a genius.......
