Alot of folks tend to write Orochimaru because he has'nt done much but that is because he could'nt use the decades worth of jutsu he has learned with his arms being sealed.With his arms back and with a new Senju body I have a theory that Orochimaru is just bidding his time and is helping the Alliance because having Obito and Madara use Infinite Tsukiyomi would ruin his plans.Now you may wonder how Orochimaru is going to deal with Naruto and the others when he faces them and that is simple because of Edo Tensei Orochimaru can summon anybody from the dead aslong as he has their DNA.If he can somehow find the remains of the Sage of Six Paths he would have a god-like Edo to help combat Naruto and company.I believe after the War Arc and after the Juubi is defeated Orochimaru is going to go search for the SO6P burial place and use the Sage to attack the villages and steal their secret jutsu becoming more powerful.

I think:

People will think Orochimaru turned good but then he gets Sasuke's Body and Naruto an him will fight against each other.
Orochimaru for taking over the world and Naruto for getting his friend back.
After Naruto wins, sasuke and naruto will fight their last fight for the Rank of Hokage

maybe not as easily as the solo king did but Hiruzen beats him mid diff Sasuke/Minato beats him low diff Obito beats him almost as easily as Itachi did and the list goes on

I think you are sorely underestimating Orochimaru here.Minato is dead and is under Oro's control,the same thing with Hiruzen and Orochimaru was toying with him,Obito is going to die soon and Sasuke is lucky Orochimaru couldn't use his arms back then otherwise his body would be Orochimaru's.The point I'm making is that Orochimaru is very smart and has a entire arsenal of jutsu he has yet to show so writing him off this early is unwise.
