Orochimaru was part of the moon's eyes plan (old theory, but different basis)

One of the most popular theories was that Orochimaru was part of the moon's eyes plan.

Main facts supporting it:

1. Madara knows Orochimaru.
2. Orochimaru knew a lot about the plan and Tobi's identity.
3. Orochimaru injected Hashi's cells into Danzo like Madara did to Obito.

But here are some other ideas that might work.

1. Orochimaru went after Itachi's sharingan (if he injected senju dna, he'd get rinnegan as well. and Ms. so, add the two together, he could revive Madara as well; if Nagato didn't). He also wouldn't have went after Nagato at this time because he was weaker (duh), and Nagato was part of the plan.

2. If he did take Itachi's body, no one was stopping Obito from attacking the leaf. (as Itachi wouldn't be in control).

3. He said Sasuke was different since Tobi and I manipulated him. He could've just meant they both manipulated him in different ways, or they could've been working together to change him into that (so either he could take Sasuke's body and Itachi's eyes, or there could be another failsafe after Nagato; if he was to ever betray them).

So, here's the thing to clear #3 up.

Nagato (plan A for reviving Madara and being synced to gezo mazo).
Orochimaru (PLAN B)
Sasuke (plan c)
Obito (finally is like screw it, I'm plan D; I don't have time for Sasuke to get rinnegan yet).

4. But Obito knew Orochimaru wasn't strong enough to take Itachi's body, and so they got him to train Sasuke. Sasuke wouldn't get his body stolen either, but either way, it doesn't hurt Obito.
So he liked that Orochimaru made Sasuke darker, but he needed to be worse.

5. Finally, Itachi wasn't just waiting to seal Orochimaru to protect Sasuke, he also wanted to prevent the Mind's Eye plan because a ems/rinnegan Orochimaru isn't a good idea. He just never expected Sasuke to turn as dark as his sanin sensei.

This isn't a 100% serious post, but it would be a good plot twist.

There's actually some pretty good theory into this and makes sense. Don't agree with Itachi knowing anything about Moon's Eye Plan though but I do agree he knew orochimaru could be a threat if he got sasuke's body. Good theories

Wouldn't be surprised if he was. Can't wait for Kishi to reveal how Orochimaru fits in all of this especially from the start.

You forget oro and kabuto did years of searching and expirementation, they have alot of knowledge you are assuming hes involved, but honestly one good reason why he aint involved is cause he wants to master every jutsu and live forever

Orochimaru takes Sasuke's body, take's Itachi's eyes, he already has senju dna in his lab, and Orochimaru could just kill himself and be revived by cs.

Yeah, what I said was that unlike Nagato who could only have rinnegan, not Madara's ms, Orochimaru would've took one of their bodies, and gained ems alone. So he could switch it like Madara.
