[Discussion] Orochimaru vs Kakashi Hatake

A lot of people seem to underestimate Orochimaru(even though he was a legendary sannin), so i was wondering if they think kakashi can beat him in a fight. Kakashi is an extremely popular character in the naruto universe and a strong shinobi, but the fact is that he was really frightened when he first met orochimaru. Why? Because Kakashi did not think he had a chance against him...

The only thing changed since part 1 is the awakened Mangekyō Sharingan.Yes,it is a huge power boost but remember
that since kakashi's version isn't bloodline related it isn't likely he has
tsukiyomi.(the tech which itachi owned oro with and sasuke escaped the transfer jutsu with).

The third feared during the invasion that no one was strong enough to stand up to oro(including kakashi) so in his old age he had to step up. He was comfortable fighting with fourth-tailed naruto,survived a direct punch from super tsunade which makes taijutsu useless aganist him and he defeated both the third(granted he was old) and the fourth kazekage.

-Wind realese: great breaktrough

-Summoning: Impure World Resurrection
-Summoning:Rashomon (was able to open 3 gates)

-Ligtning cutter(improved chidori)

-Regular sharingan
-Mangekyō Sharingan(kamui)
-Affinity for lightning/water/earth
-Summoning: Dogs
-Zabuto's water realese jutsus
-Shadow clones


Judge from what we have seen so far in the manga and please give valid reasons for both contenders...

for me, orochimaru will win but thinking kakashi, 1 of the strongest shinobi, nd being held 1s as hokage in a short period of tym, i think he will give oro a good fight, nd oro will also have hard tym in defeating kakashi, but in the end, oro will win...'))

true but that is when orochimaru had kabuto wit him(mabye not) but since that chapter kakashi have improved more than orochimaru and orochimaru is a little sick i :flaw: myself XD

i will go for oro because i dont think kakashi has any thing that can finish oro off...
only chane i see is kamui but i dont see kakashi mastering it to a pt where he can use it as an effective offence against oro

Kakashi is not much for Orochimaru . . . but . . . what if Kakashi will use Kamui, before Orochimaru will manage to escape from that? It has less possibilty, but it would kill Orochimaru. Or what if Orochimaru will summon Kages from other villages than Leaf, using IWR and then die because of Kamui? It would be draw, because Kakashi doesn't stand a little chance before two Kages.
But its ALMOST impossible . . .
I like Kakashi but Orochimaru is on whole diffrent level . . . bye, bye Kakashi .

Orochimaru is still top stuff, just look on how even now kabuto praised his chakra from ankos cursed seal and he has his own private (though a big) army

Orochimaru would DESTROY Kakashi. Everyone who brings up Kumai is forgetting one thing....KAKASHI HAS YET TO USE IT TO SEND ANYONE ANYWHERE!!!!! He was only able to remove Deidara's arm, and Orochimaru has shown that losing limbs is no problem for him. Also, Kakashi's copying abilities would be useless considering that almost all of Orochimaru's jutsu's are summons which require contracts.

As you can see several people voted for kakashi even though everything says against it.....So either people vote for their favorite character or they just like to root for the underdog..

there is no doubt that kakashi is great and he would have been a good hokage but here he is just overpowered..

Kamui is kakashi's only move and can easily be avoided by either a shadow clone or oro could sacrifice either a summon(e.g a snake) or some of his limbs...

Kakashi is strong, and is very adaptable in any situation but he's no match for Orochimaru and even he himself said that. Though Oro did praise him on his fuinjutsu and how he knew them at such a young age.

I kill this thread with one ultimate point: Right from the start, Kakashi will kamui Orochimaru's head into another dimesion. How 'bout. Try to do something after that?..We know he can use it other parts of body so why not head.
