Its such a power up; if a genin who just graduated from the acadamy trained just to learn IR then they could become so strong and let others fight for them.

Well that's like restricting someones summoning jutsu Naruto Summon Gamabunta to fight Shukaku But i still think Orochimaru would win this we haven't seen Jiraiya with a super sealing techinque strong enough to stop Orochimaru the only way Jiraiya can pull it off his if summons use the Demonic Illusion technique but besides that no way

Kakashi fought the two bodies that Jiraiya didn't really fight.

Jiraiya had info on three bodies and a bit on Asura path.

Also, Naruto didn't really have trouble with most of the bodies except for Deva Path which used Chibaku Tensei.

Yeah, he might have known about Bansho Tenin but he kinda freaked out about Fukasaku's death and just rushed into Pain without thinking like a moron.

So it's really not a compliment. You don't tell people what you are doing. That is the point of keeping things secret.

Jiraiya had no info on any of the bodies he found it all out by himself. He also succeed in killing one of the paths. Kakashi only fought 2 and almost died. And the reason Naruto did as well as he did was because he had all the information on Pain that had been gathered up to that point.

I don't mean to rain on your parade....but Oro can't use his hands...I seriously don't know how he was even able to raise his hands to stop Sasuke from using whatever kind of jutsu he was gonna kill Naruto, Sai, and Sakura and Yamato with....but he shouldn't have been able to use his hands...

Orochimaru was the strongest of the the three legendary three Sanin.....he is being tremendously underestimated. If the pervy sage was soooo much better, why was he not the first or even second consideration for Hokage....(please don't say because he left to become a hermit) because there is text that states out of the three pupils under Hiruzen, Oro was the most intelligent and most skilled. (I see nothing of the manga stating that Jiraiyah exceeds Orochimaru in any way....)

Wrong...Jaraiya was the most powerful of the Sannin, Tsunade was the strongest, and Oro had the most techniques...

He turned down the nomination twice to be hokage...Why do you think when Jaraiya first appeared back at the village, the 3rd had been looking for him?? Definitely not to ask him to speak at the local academy for the younger kids...

It was never said Jiraiya could beat Orochimaru. It was shown that he was bested by Orochimaru's tongue and teeth, and needed to be saved by Manda. Orochimaru contextually added that there was still a gap between them.

However, they were mutually handicapped, so that has no true bearing on an unrestricted battle, but I am of the opinion that Edo Tensei is a far more powerful supplement than Jiriaya's senjutsu.

Other than that, the argument of base Jiriaya's superiority is a weak one that relies on an ad infinitum Yomi Numa, and frogs defeating snakes. One being a jutsu that has received no hype or recognition from the author as a massive area of effect finishing jutsu, and the latter being contradictory to the Sansukimi motivation behind the summons and relevant feats.

Overall, I consider Orochimaru to be superior.​

I don't know, Orochimaru took a hit like it was nothing from the 4 tail naruto while it almost killed jiraiya. I just think Orichimaru is a whole level above most.

That's only because they have different strengths.

Orochimaru has endurance and the power to basically rebirth himself
Jiraiya, for the most part, excels in offensive capabilities

To say that Orochimaru would beat Jiraiya merely by that comparison alone is void.





I believe Orochimaru would win, but just barely. Jiraiya is no one to underestimate. He'd give Orochimaru a good beating before he goes down
