So, who do you think is stronger from this 2 Senin of Konoha? The Immortal Snake or the Pervy Sage?

I personally am not sure who is stronger, so please, instead of making this a flame war, elaborate on your respective oppinions (and try to persuade me/others you are right), and respect everyone's oppinion.

I think Jiraiya would win, not easily, but he has better abilities than Oro (until what we have seen on manga) I think Oro can't handle Jiraiya in sage mode.

Does Oro have his edo tensei summons?

If Oro has his summons, I don't think Jman would be able to get into SM, so Jman would lose, if Oro doesn't have his summons, then Jman takes it.

slug (tsunade) > snake (oro)> frog (jiraiya)>slug..this is how it is in the japanese folklore but seeing as how jiraiya = itachi (ill) then he 'll probably win and I know itachi said that just to avoid killing leaf ninja so don't flame; I think since they both have stamina (sm and snake body) it's sort of equal but ma and pa give jiraiya the win with genjutsu xd

Jiraiya wins with SM no difficulty and without it high difficulty.

they are equals. but orochimaru is much harder to kill and has more hax techniques.
hydra mode, manda, formation of ten thousand snakes, shadow clones, kusanagi extending sword, leech all creation, curse seal, five element seal, wind release, body shedding.

jiraiya would start the fight with katons, which is blocked by snake summons and many hidden snake hands. then both would summon frogs and snakes. manda takes on gamabunta. jiraiya tries to go into sage mode, but oro uses leech all creation to phase into close combat. he summons kusanagi and pierces jiraiya's chest. using his willpower, jiraiya gets out of it and uses rasengan. oro tanks it with body shedding. jiraiya uses toad oil bomb, and oro summons triple rashomon. by now they are both nearly out of chakra. so jiraiya tries to escape and go into sage mode but oro catches up to him and activates edo tensei. hashirama comes out and uses mokuton to tie jiraiya down. with sage mode impossible, jiraiya is defeated.
