I think this would be a pretty close match up without Edos, and as a result I have no idea who would win.

Gaara mid diff. I doubt Kusanagi is piercing his sand when a decent amount of Madara's Susano'o swords couldn't. Not to mention that it's not infused by Raiton or Fuuton, both of which are elements centered around piercing.

Aside from that Gaara merely crushes him.

Earth clone was filler I think and he's never used snakes as clones to my knowledge, he usually just takes the hit, spit out a new body, or reattach himself.

-250 meters is more than enough to prepare a flying shell. It's completely closed, while he's using third eye.

If anything Orochimaru would seal Gaara before Gaara seals him. Who cares if the distance is 250 meters(about 750 feet) Oro uses Hiding Like a Mole or Attack Prevention to just meld away into the earth and leave a clone in his place. He resurfaces behind, underneath, or anywhere near Garra, stick his head out ground and Kusanagi to his heart swiftly. With that exact method i just mentioned he can resurface by Gaara and Five Elements Seal him, rendering him unconscious and thus sealing off his chakra permanently. What happens when Oro summons Manda, Aoda, and all those other large nameless snakes we saw during the Chunnin Exams arc. Hordes of thousands of snakes coming at him all vemous and swords? Gaara has too much to take on this fight. I don't see him winning.
