Hiruzen has nothing, other than RDS, that can even truly harm Orochimaru. And now that Orochimaru knows all about RDS, I seriously doubt he'd fall for the same trick again. Orochimaru's White Zetsu clones cause enough of a distraction to eventually place a Curse Mark on him, then Hiruzen will be restrained long enough for Orochimaru to deal the finishing blow.
Oh, and IF Hiruzen manages to get Orochimaru into position for RDS, Orochimaru could simply have a clone or two on standby underground to attack a vulnerable Hiruzen. If that's even the real Orochimaru Hiruzen caught and not a clone in the first place.

Nothing in orochimaru's arsenal can take down EDO Hiruzen

Pretty sure White Snake Poison takes him down. A direct hit of Kusanagi. And why not Hiruzen's arsenal themselves? Let me break it down.

Issue you're facing here is Hiruzen can just create wave of clones after wave of clones that can fire off different elemental attacks, and his clones have shown to have durability beyond that of a regular shadow clone. With every technique in Konoha at his disposal(obviously barring KKG techniques), granting him the ability to use techniques like Tobirama's Suidanha:

And his ability to use a technique that appears to be Gian, or is at least similar to it:

These techniques and Enma allow him to deal with any snake summons that Orochimaru throws at him. Large scale katons deal with 10,000 snakes. Enma grants him the ability to fight Orochimaru in CQC as well. Suidanha/Enma breaks mokuton.

I'm not even going to touch Hydra's abilities because of that other thread, other than to say Hiruzen and his clones elemental blasts should take care of it.

Not really sure Orochimaru has enough to deal with an unlimited chakra 5 element user.

Here's the thing most users won't get, when you allow someone such as Orochimaru using Zetsu abilities, he can simply copy the user themselves!

Now I dont think that KKG counts, otherwise Zetsu should of use Neji's when he had the chance. But that doesn't matter for this match up.

But canonically we have witness Zetsu cloning Kisame perfectly

Orochimaru, on the other hand, has superior chakra levels so he isnt limited what a normal Zetsu is capable of.

Simply put, the moment spores are on Hiruzen, Too many options to end this fight.

- Make a copy of Hiruzen himself, to fool him among his shadow clones.
- And last, steal his chakra nature ability!

Not only does DB support that Orochimaru can use all chakra natures:

But the very fact that stealing Hiruzen would have him duplicate Hiruzen's ninjutsu.

So Orochimaru has his arsenals plus Hiruzen very own (element) ninjutsu to take him out.
